Final Fantasy VIII is the hit RPG that suceeded Square-Enix's classic Final Fantasy VII.
Final Fantasy VIII is centered around the aloof Squall Leonhart, a lonely teen who spends most of his time avoiding others and thinking by himself. He is training to be a SeeD (mercenary) at the prestigious Balamb Garden. Squall gets high marks and is admired by many of the students and faculty at Garden, whether he likes it or not. A man of method and control, Squall's world is turned upside down after a chance encounter with the vivacious Rinoa Heartilly.

After being assigned to aid Rinoa in her quest to liberate Timber, Squall unveils a sinister plot set forth by the sorceress Edea. She plans to assasinate all SeeDs and take control of the world, much like her predecessor, Adel.

Things are not what they seem however, as Squall and his comrades are sent back in time during a series of random dream sequences to relive Laguna Loire's past as a soldier and Winhill inhabitant.
With all of the chaos ensuing,one would wonder if there is any time left for love.
Can Rinoa melt Squall's icy heart? Will friendship and trust be able to conquer all?
