Final Fantasy XIII
The first ever Final Fantasy on PS3, Final Fantasy XIII looks damn incredible.
The graphics look much better then most PS3 games I've seen, and the
posibilities of this game are near-limitless with the revolutionary
PS3 console.
New Final Fantasy XIII and Versus Details!
In a recent interview with Motome Toriyama and
Tetsuya Nomura, a few new details have come out about Final Fantasy
XIII and Versus.
Final Fantasy XIII:
- The battle system director will be Toshiro Tsuchida, the same director who worked on Final Fantasy X and creator of the Front Mission series.
- The blond guy from the latest trailer will have a humorous fighting style.
- There may be a job system but it hasn't been confirmed.
- It was reiterated that Final Fantasy XIII will still use the White Engine being developed by Square Enix and will not use the newly acquired Unreal 3 Engine.
Final Fantasy Versus XIII:
- The gameplay will be a more realistic version of Kingdom Hearts with third person shooter elements similar to Dirge of Cerberus. Also, the point of view will change depending on the character's equipped weapon.
- An airship has been confirmed as being a part of the game.
- Nomura says that it would be too much work to do Kingdom Hearts 3 and Versus XIII at the same time, so development on KH3 will wait until FF Versus XIII is complete.
- Versus XIII may be the last Final Fantasy Nomura will direct, as he wants to concentrate on the Kingdom Hearts series instead.
