Final Fantasy XII Preview
Coming to the PS2
Final Fantasy XII is definitely shaping up to be one heck of a game.
Never before has a Final Fantasy game felt so big and so cinematic. The
in-game graphics look incredible, and the characters fit perfectly into
the game.
The storyline concerns a young man named Vaan, who is dealing with his
parent's death in the war against Archadian. Archadian is an evil empire
that is taking over all the states in the world.

The city of Dalmasca remains un ruled by Archadian, however,
war breaks out when Archadian attacks.
One of the best things about Final Fantasy XII is the battle system.
Now, the battles have always been the main core to any Final Fantasy
game, and FFXII has taken a new step by having real time battles.
No longer will you be running around a beautiful, clam environment only
to have a random battle thrown instantly in your face every ten seconds.

Now in FFXII, the random battles are history. Instead,
monsters appear as you walk around the place. You can freely
choose to beat it down or simply run away, enabling for much
more accessible combat that will expand appeal to casual
gamers, as well as any FF fan.

Either way, this is looking to be another essential FF game,
and hopefully it won't be overshadowed by the PS3 version
that's just been recently announced.
